hello everyone and thanks for stopping by. i’m muhammad saleem and i want to get social.

i recently finished my a.b. degree in economics along with a minor in slavic languages and literature (with a focus on russian) from the university of chicago. i spend most of my free time on various social bookmarking and networking sites, and writing about social media and socially driven content.

i started my writing career with the mu life, covering social media, however, after joining pronet advertising i stopped maintaining the former site and moved that content here. in the past, i have written for the blog herald for a little while, but decided to leave after matt craven sold it. after that, i joined david krug and a great team that includes many other blog herald veterans at 901 am. after the sale of the second site and taking charge as lead-author and editor of pronet advertising, i left 901am as well.

i also contribute to newassignment.net, which is an ongoing experiment in open source journalism, and occasionally write for copyblogger. as of august 2006, have been working for netscape as a ‘professional social bookmarker’.
