guest post at gigaom: for the future of marketing, look to social media

Filed under: social media — muhammad saleem @ 9:12 am

hello there! if you're new here and like what you read, you may want to grab the rss feed so you can always be up to date. thanks for visiting!

i’ve written a guest post at gigaom on the future of marketing.

there was a time not too long ago when the business implications of social media were unclear; resistance to it on the part of corporations, therefore, was somewhat understandable. web 2.0 seemed like just the next internet fad in a series of many, and while it was viewed as having value for individuals and enthusiasts, it didn’t seem viable for corporate use. but corporations need to realize that social media is here to stay — and that in it lies the future of marketing.

for more on the future of marketing check out gigaom.

guest post at read/writeweb: plurk - unique or just another twitter clone?

Filed under: social media — muhammad saleem @ 10:29 am

i’ve written a guest post at read/writeweb on what i believe will be the next big lifestreaming service.

when I first heard about plurk I was ready to hate it. but after using the site and comprehensively going over the feature set and its implementation i am thoroughly impressed. ultimately, i think plurk is an amazing evolution over the previous generation of lifestreaming services that does almost everything you’d expect to find and does it better, while adding unique and interesting features of its own.

read on for the complete review and guide to plurk.
