the netscape community has reached 200,000 users. the 100,000 milestone was passed on december 24, 2006. the 200,000 milestone was achieved relatively quicker; 50,000 users have been added since march alone (possibly due to the rebirth of my.netscape).

pc world has named the netscape navigator (browser, 1994) to be the number one tech product of all time.

Netscape was the reason people started spending hours a day on the Internet, leading to the boom (and bust) of many a Web site.
